The Beatles Pub Crawl

In May 2016, I sat down and discussed with Jay Hynd from The Guide Liverpool all the pubs that had Beatles history attached to them. For research purposes (honest) I went out and drank copious amounts of pints to research these places and I wrote what went on to be one of the most popular posts on The Guide Liverpool at that time, and still is one of the most read posts to this day. It went down a treat.

Today, these pubs have got more Beatles fans visiting than ever before, and their popularity is growing as the industry around them is growing alongside them too.

Many people have followed the guide I wrote and went on to enjoy these nostalgic Beatles pubs and I have been hearing tales inspired by this pub crawl for a while now. Which led to me to contact my good friend Charlotte Martin of Livertours Liverpool to discuss how we could put this together for guests coming to the city.

Once we had tested it logistically, it became glaringly obvious to set this up and run with it. Not only are the pubs we take people to beautiful and rich in history, but to get to the pubs we have to pass other pubs of significance to more of the worlds finest ever musicians (seriously - we pass places where we refer to Queen/Freddie Mercury, Oasis, Echo and the Bunnymen, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and loads more!)

Charlie is very humble and hates me saying it - But it is a pleasure to be working and setting this up alongside her. Her qualifications and experience in Beatles tour guiding make her the most qualified Beatles tour guide in the UK, which is impressive. She has a MA in The Beatles, she is Green badge qualified as a tour guide and she also has a qualification from the city of Liverpool which makes her an official Beatles Guide. As for me, I enjoy a pint or two and I enjoy waffling on about the Beatles. It makes it a natural fit really..

We have already launched this tour, we have done this tour to small groups and we are ready to take on large groups too. So if you are interested in doing this, if you are a hen or stag do and want a bit of a civilised experience before it gets out of hand, or perhaps you just want to enjoy a few halves where John Lennon used to drink, we can work it out.
